Sales and Account Manager

Do you have an aesthetic eye for detail and a passion for working with exquisite textiles? Working in the interior design industry, this sales role has variety and autonomy of 50% based in the showroom 50% on road. Therefore, you need to be a driven, self-starter, who has excellent relationship building skills, is well-presented, organised and prides yourself on deliver quality service that exceeds client’s expectations.
Your duties and responsibilities will be:
- Deliver quality service and product advice
- Arrange & attend offsite appointments with clients
- Meet and greet clients in the showroom
- Business Development calls to new and existing clients
- Maintain client relationships
- Oversee the sale of textiles to trade customers
- Develop proposals for client requirements
- Meet agreed sales targets
- Building strong relationships with suppliers and industry partners
To be successful in this position you will have a great can-do, positive attitude, amazing people skills and be tech savvy, with a professional outlook, along with the following skills and experience:
- A passion for fabrics, colour and design, with knowledge of interior fabrics
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is imperative
- Creative flair for merchandise displays
- Be willing to go the extra mile to find the right solutions for customers
- Ability to work alone and collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised and must have great time management skills
- Current driver’s license and own vehicle
- Fluent in English and have New Zealand Residency
- Competence using Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Be proactive and take ownership of the role
- Be target driven, and enjoy working to targets
