Payroll Specialist / HR Coordinator (30 hour week)

This is a great opportunity to put your high-volume payroll skills and experience to full utilisation working in this HR team of high performing, dedicated, knowledgeable, professionals. You will have full and sole responsibility of the fortnightly payroll of 250+ staff.

You will be joining a global organisation who is a registered and accredited private multi-campus education provider, with schools in eight regions across the world. This HR team and organisation needs an efficient, driven, proactive Payroll Specialist / HR Coordinator who is forward thinking, innovative, takes an interest and pride in their work, applies high integrity and exceptional attention to detail and who can be trusted to get payroll right the first time.

This Payroll Specialist / HR Coordinator role is very busy, diverse, challenging and varied; every day you will be kept on your toes.  Typically, your role will consist of:

  • Prepare and process fortnightly payroll (end to end) 250+ employees
  • Maintain HRIS systems; Dayforce
  • On and off boarding, inductions
  • Ensure NZ compliance with employment laws and regulations
  • Handle and respond to discrepancies and queries relating to payroll
  • PAYE and IRD filings
  • Review and ensure accuracy of the payroll
  • Administration
  • Project work
  • HR administration
