Payroll Administrator

Based in Mt Wellington with off street parking and working within a close-knit team, this is a self-managing role where a weekly pay schedule is processed Monday to Friday. This role will be a six-month contract with the potential to be extended. Pay per hour depends on your level of experience. You will have a solid knowledge of the New Zealand payroll legislation with a good eye for detail.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Processing waged and salaried payrolls (500+ employee’s) sole-charge and end-to-end using Comacc
  • Ensuring all transactions are processed efficiently and correctly
  • Prepare, balance & reconcile Payroll, PAYE, ACC, Kiwisaver and other deductions where necessary
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies
  • Solid understanding of the NZ Payroll Legislation
  • Maintain the filing of payroll documentation
  • Administration support to surrounding teams

To be considered for this position we need a team player who can start immediately,

You will possess the following attributes, skills and experience:

  • Previous high-volume payroll experience of 4 years
  • Comacc experience essential
  • Excellent excel and data entry skills
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be available to start immediately
  • Highly organised and able to work under pressure
  • Great written and oral communication skills
