Develop your HSEQ career in this pivotal role, where you will be reporting to the HSEQ Manager and will be responsible for all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment & Quality aspects for a large successful and growing logistics company
In this role you will drive Health & Safety best practice throughout the company with your extensive knowledge, experience and influential nature; building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
Implement HSEQ policies, procedures and safety alerts
Ensure HSEQ policies, procedures, safety alerts and other documentation are developed, regularly reviewed, updated and communicated
Maintain and manage the Asset Integrity Management system
Conduct inspections and audits as required
Drive HSEQ Training throughout the company and maintain the Training Matrix
Be involved in hazard and risk and contractor management, incident and emergency management processes
Contact and support person for H&S reps and other staff
Assist the HSEQ Manager with developing Major Hazard Facility Safety Cases and compliance with hazardous substance legislation
Skills and experience:
An NZ health and safety qualification (level 4 minimum, ideally diploma)
Strong knowledge of NZ Health & Safety legislation
Have a strong and proven ability to engage and influence people
Ability to lead culture change through influence
Time management skills – an ability to manage a complex and dynamic portfolio
Knowledge of QMS systems (Access database)
Knowledge of the requirements for storing hazardous substances is desirable
Experience within the logistic/transport/distribution industry would be beneficial
